Calling All Artists! (Kindergarten – 12th Grade)

The UJFC Tour of Giving
“Meaning of Tzedakah” Art Contest

Tzedakah. You’ve been learning about it for as long as you can remember. Now you can use your creativity and artistic talent to show the community just what Tzedakah means to you, by participating in the Tour of Giving Art Contest.  Winning pieces will be exhibited online and at the St. Paul JCC from November 6 – 20 during the Twin Cities Jewish Book Fair.

Contest Details:
•All pieces should be two-dimensional (drawings, photographs, collages, etc.) and 11”x14” or smaller.

•Contestants will be judged by a panel of artists on originality and expression of the theme within their age category.
Three semi-finalists will be chosen by the panel and displayed at www.tourofgiving.org to be voted on by the public.

The age categories are:
oK – Grade 4
oGrades 5 – 8
oGrades 9 – 12

•Each 1st Prize winner will receive an iPod Shuffle. In addition, all semi-finalists will be awarded money to donate to an
organization they choose, much like setting up a UJFC Gesher l’Kesher Teen Tzedakah Fund.

o1st Prize: $54 for charity + iPod Shuffle
o2nd Prize: $36 for charity
o3rd Prize: $18 for charity

•All entries should be submitted by Monday, November 2 at 5 p.m. to:

•Include the following information paper-clipped to the entry
(to ensure anonymous judging, no identifying information should be included on the piece):

And… don’t forget to empty your Tzedakah boxes into the GIANT box touring the town to support Meals on Wheels for those in need. One meal costs just $5, so anything makes a difference!
